Find Help, Find Hope!

Anthony Bachman

Background: I am retired after teaching 8th grade for 40 years for the Spring Grove Area School District, am married to Debra, have three children, and am spoiling three granddaughters.  York County has been my home all my life. Writing is my hobby. Volunteering for NAMI is now my pastime.

Reason for Seeking Board Membership: With a wife diagnosed Bipolar, NAMI’s Family-to-Family Course became a life-saver for me in 2008. I’ve been able to give back by being a Family-to-Family instructor ever since. I am now certified to “Instructor Train” for the course at the PA State level. I have volunteered for all the NAMI Walks, aided in C.I.T. Trainings and Hearing Distressed Seminars, and become a Board Member. I’ve seen incredible growth in NAMI-York over the years and am excited that it has reached out to Adams County. Truly NAMI has become family to me.
