Carter Stokes
Signature Program Coordinator
Carter Stokes began his professional journey in January 2025 with a deep personal connection to mental health. Having lived with anxiety and depression, Carter’s experience with mental illness began during his school years, and his understanding of mental health has been shaped by both personal struggles and family members who have faced similar challenges.

This background fuels Carter’s passion for supporting others—particularly peers and family members—by helping them gain a better understanding of mental illness and learn effective coping strategies. Through his work at NAMI York-Adams, Carter is committed to fostering empathy, awareness, and resilience in those affected by mental health issues, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of others navigating similar experiences.
